Open water pike 2-25

Not much time to fish lately, it’s been one show after another for me. The booth for Hartford got set up early, so I had the morning to myself. Georgie, Andrew and I met for breakfast and headed out in a steady, cold rain… PERFECT pike weather

After swimming the new Reaction Strike Revolution Shads in the tank all weekend at the Springfield Show, I couldn’t wait to get out and throw them for real. We hiked a short way in to an area that wasn’t too flooded (yet) and began casting. I hadn’t made 10 casts when I got smacked. Not a big one but it sure felt great to be fishing again.
